Summer Block Party

End your summer with a Party! August 17th from 3-8 PM

The Church at South Edmonton is ending the summer with a Block Party! Food, Games, Chili Cook Off, Exotic Car Show, Giveaways, and Live Music featuring Sky Terminal and Phoenix Empire!

Canadian Rock band Sky Terminal launched their debut self produced album "Don't Close Your Eyes" in 2011, earning a Canadian Juno Nomination. Having spent the last 8 years touring across Canada, and into US & Europe, the band's live performances have been refined into nothing short of riveting. The band followed up with their sophmore album "We Are One". The music has racked up international radio play, and a slew of additional awards. Singer, producer, & principal song writer Marcel Preston describes their newest single "Billion Stars" like having borrowed the anthem of the stars. Being surrounded by darkness is simply an opportunity to stand out and be light. The band is currently in studio writing and recording their third album due for release in October 2019.

Based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Phoenix Empire looks to reinvent what "Rock Music" really means. Taking catchy melodies, sticking them between in-your-face riffs and soulful guitar solos, Lead Singer Brennan Friesen aims to take the music world by storm. With lyrical subjects ranging from dealing with depression and doubt, to overcoming adversity, to simply living in the moment, Phoenix Empire has a place for all.
